Lightning Box enters Norway via Norsk Tipping deal

Lightning Box has praised a partnership that “presents us with some interesting opportunities,” as the Sydney, Australia headquartered online casino slot supplier makes its debut in the Norweigian market after agreeing to supply its games to Norsk Tipping.

Following on from a number of recent agreements, the supplier has initially gone live via its SG Digital distribution partner with its Astro Cat igaming offering.

Based in Hamar and administered by the Norwegian government’s Ministry of Culture, Norsk Tipping offers a range of lottery, sports betting, slots and instant games.

Peter Causley, CEO and co-founder of Lightning Box, said he was pleased to be entering a new market, and acknowledged compliance with its strict limits on maximum stakes and wins.

“Norsk Tipping has a preeminent position in Norway and this new partnership presents us with some interesting opportunities to get in front of new players,” he noted.

“It is also testament to the universal popularity of our games that we can make a smooth transition into another market to go alongside those we currently supply in the rest of Europe and North America.”

Most recently, Lightning Box linked-up with Betway, in a deal which saw titles such as Chicken Fox5x Skillstar, Kalahari Safari, Blown Away, Extreme Fishing, Spartan Fire, Eagle Sun and Lightning Leopard, go live on the multi-market operator’s casino tab.

This itself continued a US and Canadian focus adopted by the supplier in recent weeks, with commercial tie-ups having been secured alongside Atlantic Lottery Corporation and TwinSpires, the Churchill Downs online sportsbook and casino platform.
