Stakelogic has completed its second acquisition in as many weeks, with the igaming content supplier purchasing Hurricane Games as part of a maintained effort to enhance and grow its in-house development capabilities.
The acquisition of the studio, which had been working closely with Stakelogic via its Greenlogic development partner program, has been made to strengthen the group’s development capacity.
The Hurricane Games team will be retained post-acquisition and will be given creative and technical freedom to design and develop games, while also being supported by Stakelogic and its team of designers, developers, marketers, mathematicians, etc.
“Stakelogic has been instrumental in our rise to date and I am thrilled to further strengthen the relationship between both studios via this acquisition,” stated Andrew Fraser, director at Hurricane Games.
“We have some incredible concepts in the pipeline, and now that we are part of the Stakelogic family have the resources to bring them to life and deliver the best possible player experience across all of our titles.”
The strategic acquisition comes just days after Stakelogic acquired Belgrade-based Smart&Applied, as part of its aforementioned enhancement targets. The software developer was subsequently rebranded to Stakelogic Serbia.
Stephan van den Oetelaar, CEO of Stakelogic, explained: “The acquisition of Hurricane Games takes our in-house development capabilities to the next level, allowing us to grow at pace while also delivering new, exciting content to our operator partners on a regular basis.
“Hurricane Games was one of the first studios to join our Greenlogic program, so we have plenty of experience working with its team of incredible talent to create games that stand out in operator lobbies and deliver a superior player experience.
“I’d like to welcome Hurricane Games to the Stakelogic family and look forward to seeing some truly special slots leave our production line over the coming months and years.”
